I don't know if anyone noticed, but Patrick was wonderfully oblivious to Heath's total anxiety over Natalya. It's not that he doesn't care per se, he acknowledged that Heath was uncomfortable, but it never occurred to him to try and help Heath. He's funny like that.

With SITYWAT,  I'm currently making shit all profits, yeah? (Because this is very much a free site, strangely enough...) But I notice Luci-Chan's Lunchbox of Doom actually sold one of her fics via Cafepress, which greatly interests me. So yes, minor problem being, I doubt I'm as good as her. (I don't believe I've actually read any of her work...). But if I did say, turn SITYWAT into immortalised book form where you could grab your own copy, (and by SITYWAT, I mean either this current story, all of it's possible descendands or one of), would anyone be interested?
I'm just curious- I would die for some fics (most notably Nocte Yin) to be published, I'd buy them, but for other fics, I just wouldn't see it as worth it. Thus, my question to you.

But yes, Seventy, WOW! At least this makes up for my crappy exam, right? (It was a HORRIBLE exam. Horrid.) I feel happy and special. Seventy. ...Sweet. This holidays is all about Kmart (horrid, horrid work- be prepared for an absence of updates for 1 and a half weeks after July 5th, that's the toysale, and I'm working heaps! Gah!) and F.U.C.K.W.I.T.S. (Formally United Collaboration of Kinky Wentzing Idiots and Tricky Seadogs)  which is a group of my friends and I where we take stupid photos. (We're making a movie and a Calender among other things) and I'm also turning my hand to writing a comic. (Someone else is drawing, clearly). Exciting times. 
I also have a rant on authors who don't like promoting other authors, and who have no favourites. It seems selfish to me, but of course, I might have the completely wrong idea. I love promoting my favourite stories and would never resent them enough to not favourite- hell, I link things from everywhere, all the time!
As you read this I'm probably working, checking people's bags and generally being consigned to a fate worse than death. (Although I got told 'God Bless You' by some random who bought a quilt through me. Was kinda creepy really. I sold him a blanket, not saved his life...)
I'd say pray for me, but I'm not really traditionally religious. So comfort eat for me :P

Oh my Wentz!* SITYWAT recently hit the 150 review mark, which makes Nara (/Carly) a delighted porcupine! Chapter 17 brings with it a new summary, -excitement-, and not only a new summary but a new character: Shannon! I am very excited! Of course, I am only just finishing Chapter 16 now, let alone 17, but it's still good!

While kinda thinking about maybe updating, I've been trying my hand at quizzing (My sister and I got a Quizilla account so we could post absolute crap and laugh over it), and comic writing! Yes, I said writing, not drawing. I'm coming up with a basic storyline and then one of my coworkers will bring it to life! We're all very excited... and snickering at the multiple comic in-jokes. In other news, HTP is kinda crap, but I can't bring myself to particularly care that no one likes it, ha ha. I probably should be upset, but I'm just like -shrug-.  

I’m totally thinking of pimping off my SITYWAT characters to the auction block! Yes, you personally can adopt one of my characters… for a price. What? I don’t know. Something cool. I’m open for negotiations, anything from songs to pictures to myspace signups... Error-Author is currently lined up in the Shannon queue! I’d draw my characters in really awesome pimp suits, with canes and hats and such, but I cannot draw. Alas- woe is me. UPDATE: Shannon belongs to Error-Author who hit myspace! It's not so bad, really! Facebook sucks though, if anyone has Facebook, let me know. I need friends.

If everything goes to plan, SITYWAT will finish at chapter 25, and some ideas have been floating around in my head… but I am rather lazy. The grand plan is a four story series, coinciding with a term for each of the stories. If I actually do write it, which I make no promises about, Sarah Harvano, Nick Bandell and Adam Seralakis will each be the respective characters to stumble along into a relationship during their stories. I did think of story titles:
1. Patrick: Sorry, I thought you were a Terrorist
2. Sarah: You’re not a freaking Vampire
3. Adam: Twilight Emanates from your Lips
4. Nick: Landmines do not come in different flavours.

As you can see, the titles suit each respective character, but I'm not really sure who will be Term 2... I have a feeling Nick will be the most fun to write about...  

So it was wickedly my birthday yesterday. I went to Jam and my best friend Laura told Fab it was my birthday. Fab made me come up the front and onstage with him. TWICE! I was lucky I didn't screw up the dance moves and fall on my face breaking my nose in three places. But I highly reccomment BodyJam to all of you! Then I went to work and no one knew it was my birthday. The Kmart social calender failed me. -Emo sigh-. But my sister gave me this awesome bubble blowing sword, and a balaclava, telling me I could now steal the present I actually wanted. Awesome. My cousins drove me all the way to Victor Harbour just so we could eat copious amounts of McDonalds. It was beautiful, we got photos.

Venustas Iaceo is giving me a one shot for my present, about Sevastyan. I am excited. Oh, on the whole story gift thing, I do that too, if anyone's interested. I gift for birthdays (of course I need to know when they are, and I've only done it on fanfiction so far), but as with the character adoption, I gift for people who bribe me, with MySpace signage, gift for gift or fanart. Hell, I just like the novelty of it all!  And it's all like -special!-

About Chap 16: I did read Mills and Boon for a long time before I discovered FF and FP. It was very, very predictable. "The Special Dolphin" belongs to my sister. It was really random, and incredibly badly illustrated.
This chapter turned out a whole lot longer... you may notice my chapters are generally short, this one went way overboard on what I'd planned, even WITH me cutting out an intended Theatre Sports scene.

Hi kiddies, c'est Nara à ici, here's my way of saying thanks for bothering to review. Yep, to commemorate 100 people deigning to leave a comment, here's a little extra. This -will- have happened in the story, but won't be a big issue, though it might be alluded to. You're welcome to leave a comment on this, but it's not neccessary. If you have myspace, come find me, I frolic under the address add-on 'xoxopugs'. A little lower down my journal entries say I plan to repost my old story 'the Danger of being Djinn'; this is now a lie because I'm revamping it to the max on the advice of a career counsellor who told me to write a book in my spare time. It will probably bomb.

My mouse broke last night. It would not work. I spent ages stabbing various things into it trying to get it to work (pen lids, earrings- worked for a while, a piece of paper), very frustrating. So being the dilligent student I am (like fuck, I wanted to read FP more like) I went out and bought another cordless mouse, and set about adding it to our current computer set up... except the bastard decided it will only work in the proper USB port... which wouldn't normally be a problem as we have two, only I totally broke one of the ports and blamed it on mum who was the next person to try and use it, and does not have a clue that it was, infact, my fault. (I left my ipod updating cord in there, then accidently stepped on the cord yanking the whole thing down and breaking part of the connection... watch out, it can happen to you!)
Why does this matter? Because if I want the use of a mouse, I can't use my USB. And where do you think I had SITYWAT13 saved? That's right kids, I went to uni, worked hard on the story instead of uni work, then got home and realised I was fucked. It took some keywork (thankyou ctrl+c) and a lot of swearing to get this back. 

Also, try this for a tongue twister: 'Comment vous L’évalueriez?' Try saying it fast.  For anyone interested, I was at work doing checkout crap on monday and we had these promotional bunny ear headbands for easter and I was wearing them (hey, anything novelty sounds like a good idea when you're that bored) and I served like, total weirdo guy.
Guy: you look cute
Me: Uh, thanks
Guy: Do you have a bunny tail too?
Me: Ha ha, no
Guy: Oh, well I think it would look cute if you did
Me: Mmmm (non comittal murmur)
Guy: I could chase you down the aisles!

This is a little extra set in the middle of my one-shot Yzak's Revenge, the sequal to Yzak's Trials . I wrote it partly because it amused me to do so, and partly because I wanted something I could give in return to the people who bothered to review, because I respect and appreciate it. This is set in the middle of a sequal, so I'd recommend reading the two one-shots first.

Hola! I'm Nara. I write original stories and fanfiction, as my profile indicates. I used to write under the penname lady11occult, but I outgrew it and the livejournal I had then as well. I was planning to post a deleted scene for my BJT story Deadly Politics... but I must not have saved it to my hard drive thus when I deleted my other journal, it vanished too. Oh well *sigh*. My real name is Carly, and my sister Ange/Angela will often come up when I bounce ideas off of her. 

As I write this I'm temporarily crippled- I've sprained a disc in my spine so I'm not allowed to sit for long (which distinctly limits my computer time... the pain, the pain!) but usually I've a very active FF and FP member.

I make a lot of dumb mistakes... like last night:
Ange: "...You do realise 'Hola' is pronounced 'ola'... the 'H' is silent,"

Ange: "...That's what I thought,"

But that's irrelevant... 'Hola' sounds much better with an 'h'. I also have fairly terrible grammar, and rely on people's tips to correct me when I'm wrong, because I frequently make mistakes (basic mistakes!) without realising it. People who speak English as a second language probably have a better grasp than me, which annoys me greatly. What are they teaching us in schools these days?! 


Anyhow my current projects are:
Sorry, I thought you were a Terrorist (Original Fiction) ; A humorous romance about a paranoid and crazy boy meeting a snarky, sarcastic boy, a brooding boy and an almost emotionless boy... oh, and two out of three want to kiss him. Slash Warning.
Coven (BJT) ; a fun and indepth look at the Coven, their beginnings and their interaction during Heir, including the relationship they share with Jaenelle, Lucivar and each other.
Me, Interrupted (Yu-Gi-Oh x Gundam Wing) A quirky, possibly OOC exploration on mental illness with Otogi Ryuji taking the lead.
Major Arcana (Yu-Gi-Oh) ; A short and occasionally obscure look into the lights and darks from England, Egypt, two of the Doma crew, the Kaiba brothers and Otogi using Tarot cards as a base. No knowledge required.

...and my future projects include a repost of my sci-fi original 'Danger and Djinn', the tentitively titled original 'His Troublesome Progeny' and mainly continue obscure oneshots for fanfiction.
